The Minoans were an ancient civilization on Crete, the largest Greek island, flourishing from around 2600 to 1100 BCE. Historians learned about them through archaeological finds, like the ruins at Knossos, frescoes, pottery, and other artifacts. They deciphered some of the Linear A script, but it remains mostly a mystery.
What's super cool about them? They had this love for nature, vivid art, and complex architecture with palaces like Knossos. They were also seafaring traders and had a thing for sports, like bull-leaping! Plus, their society seemed to have a thing for peace, not much in the way of fortifications.
