As minimum requirement, gloves should be put on before:
- Gaffs
- Protective clothing
- Employee comes within reaching distance of protective grounds
- Employee comes within falling or reaching distance (not less than 31 inches) of unprotected energized circuits or apparatus or those that may be energized."
