There are many kinds of junction in nerve cells. It can connect the nerve to other nerve bodies, other nerve junction or to muscle.
If the junction is directly to the nerve cells body it will be called axosomatic synapse. The term for the junction between one nerve cell and the next junction called axoaxonic synapse.
