Organic compounds are compounds that have carbon in them. These include hydrocarbons, carbohydrates and proteins. They are called so because they are formed in organisms, or (in the case of hydrocarbons) fossilisation of organisms.

For example, molecules containing Carbon atoms, saturated with hydrogen atoms...Sometimes these molecules may have oxygen or other atoms attached, however, the majority of the molecule contains Carbons and Hydrogens. 
So with that being said... 
A simple example of an organic compound is benzene or glucose (sugar).
