The burning of fossil fuels increase the greenhouse effect on earth because burning releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, and carbon dioxide increase the green house effect. There are also many other factors which increases the green house effect like severe storms. Green house gases absorbs the infrared light, that is why according to the increase of green house gases, the temperature of earth also increases.
