Respuesta :
That is because environments change and and species adapt to their environments. If the same species gets separated and then becomes geographically isolated, they will have to adapt to their respective environment. When enough of these small adaptations occur, one of them will completely become a new species that would be incompatible with the original one when it comes to breeding.
Geographic isolation causes speciation because the species isolated in certain locations form isolated procreating populations. Different locations will have different preferential characteristics for separate populations.
Explanation:
Speciation is the process of evolutionary by which populaces evolve to become distinctive species. Speciation happens when two or more populaces become so genetically different that they no longer mate with one another. There are several ways this can happen. The natural ways of speciation can happen are allopatric, parapatric, and sympatric speciation:
• Allopathic speciation is when populaces become geographically separated and distorted over time due to natural selection, genetic shifts, and mutations in each population. For instance, if there is a river changes the direction as the time passed by and two species populations are used to mate and exchange genes, no genes are exchanged (because they cannot or do not want to cross the river), both populations will evolve separately and become a different species.
• Parapatric speciation happens when two populations are not separated completely. The two populations are separated largely from each other but intermittent contact still exists. However, crossbreeding between the two populations is unprofitable and results in offspring with lower fitness.
• Sympathetic speciation happens when there is no geographical barrier but different populations. If particular individuals decide to exploit new niches, as the time passed by, they may distinguish substantially from their main populace so that they no longer crossbreed. There is argument surrounding on often true sympathetic speciation happens.
However, speciation may also be generated artificially, through agriculture, animal husbandry, or laboratory experiments.
