XML enables users to define their own data-based tags and facilitates exchange of information between websites. It stands for extensible markup language. It was made and designed in order to transport and store data. It was designed to be machine readable and human readable. It is a markup language which would define a set of rules for use in encoding documents that can be read both for human and machine.
