Respuesta :
Under Isabella and Ferdinand, Spain became 'free from internal struggles.'
Who was Isabella?
Isabella was the Queen of two kingdoms, Kingdom of Castile and Kingdom of Aragon of Spain. She became the Queen of Aragon after her husband, Ferdinand ascended to that throne.
During Isabella's reign, she brought the crime rates to the lowest and so this way her kingdom became free from internal struggles and fights. She also unburdened the Kingdom of Castile's enormous debt which King Henry IV, her half-brother had left behind.
Who was Ferdinand?
Ferdinand was the King of Aragon and Sardinia and was considered the first King of Spain. Ferdinand marries Isabella and then they together rule over the kingdoms of Castile and Aragon and they unite all the dominions of Spain.
Ferdinand and Isabelle together brought many kingdoms on the Iberian Peninsula to form what Spain is today. Through Spain's unification, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella strengthened Spain into an economic and dominant world power.
Ferdinand and Isabella, as a team, were strong, efficient, and effective rulers. Therefore, in their reign Spain became free from internal struggles and strengthened to such a degree that it was able to dominate European politics and greatly influence European affairs.
