RNA molecules are synthesized in the nucleus of the eukaryotic cells. The region of the nucleus that specializes in RNA synthesis is the nucleolus, which is a dense area within the nucleus and contains the genes that encode rRNA. There are three different types of RNA, they are mRNA, tRNA and rRNA.
