A healthy BMI for a women all depends on how old you are, how tall you are and your gender, in this case female.  But your body mass index changes as you get older. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC),  a BMI of less than 18.5 falls into the under weight range, a BMI of 18.5 to 25 is considered normal and healthy, a BMI of 30 or over is considered to be over weight, but this all depends on age. So for instance, if you are 20-29 yrs old your median BMI would be 24.4, 30-39 yr olds median BMI would be 26.4, 40-49 yrs old's median BMI would be 27.8, 50-59 yr olds median BMI would be 28.4, and for 60-69 yr olds the median BMI would be 27.5.
