Practice writing linear equations in different forms. Line AB goes through the points A (0, –4) and B (6, 2). Which equation represents line AB?  y – 4 = 3x y – 2 = 3(x – 6) y + 4 = x y + 6 = x - 2

Respuesta :

(0,-4)(6,2)
slope = (2 - (-4) / (6 - 0) = 6/6 = 1

y = mx + b
slope(m) = 1
(0,-4)..x = 0 and y = 4
sub and find b
4 = 1(0) + b
4 = b

equation is : y = x + 4...or x - y = -4
or  y + 4 = 6(x - 0) ...or y - 2 = 6(x - 6)

the answer is c . y + 4 = x
