I need to know why the answer is 12.5 and how you got it.

If p(4) = 16 then
n*4² + 8 = 16
16n + 8 = 16
16n = 16 - 8
16n = 8
n = 8/16 = 0.5

If n = 0.5 then
p(-3) = 0.5*(-3)² + 8
p(-3) = 0.5 * 9 + 8
p(-3) = 4.5 + 8
p(-3) = 12.5
