The parking brake brakes the REAR wheels. The parking brake also called the hand brake works on the rear wheels of vehicles. It functions by locking the rear wheels of vehicles and thus preventing any forward motion. At times, it is also used to prevent the vehicle from rolling when the driver's two feet are engaged.
