If a student fails a Regent he/she is
allowed to keep taking them until he/she gets a score that he/she likes.

Answer:

Regents examinations, required for graduating as per the NYSED, are offered thrice in a year. The usual, June. Then again, August. And finally January! Your best bet would be to go to your counselor and ask to retake, who'd probably go to the in charge supervisor in the subject. If you're approved, all you have to do is prep!
