What is Shakespeare using in Romeo and Juliet, act 2, scene 2, when Romeo says, "But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks? / It is the east, and Juliet is the sun." A. Foreshadowing B. Metaphor C. Pun D. Sarcasm

Respuesta :

Im pretty sure the answer is B because it is saying "it is the west, and juliet is the sun"
B. Metaphor (I'm quite sure)
Romeo is making a similarity to Juliet, that she is similar to the rising sun over the horizon. Metaphors are like similes but they don't use like or as (those kinds of words).
A. Foreshadowing doesnt really make sense in the story. She doesn't die by the sun or turn into a sun or whatever.
C. pun doesn't make sense
D. do you think romeo would diss his fly girl?
