Histological grading is used in cancer diagnosis to determine the progression of the disease. In histological grading of cancer classification, four grades [grade I - IV] are used to evaluate abnormal cells based on their resemblance to tissue of origin and degree of differentiation from tissue of origin. The grade in which there are many obviously undifferentiated cells to the degree that the original tissue is difficult to identify is grade GRADE IV.
