Many u.s. firms have outsourced jobs to china (primarily for manufacturing) and india (primarily for back office duties). pinpoint a firm or firms that have undertaken such outsourcing. what types of jobs were outsourced?

I believe Nike has done this and I know that at least garments have been outsourced to for example Honduras and Mexico. From reports I have heard, the US owned factories for clothing in these countries which are called maquiladoras usually have a very poor human rights record what with low pay and poor working conditions.
