Radiational cooling usually occurs when the temperature is cool (which usually occurs at night ) and the energy flow out of the earth is greater than the energy flowing inward. Most of the cooling occurs when the sky is clear and their prevails light wind and dry condition. The light winds causes the confining of cool air and prevent it from mixing with warm air
