The second, is, the langugage that is used, and that must be appropriate for the purpose and the audience. The third factr is, the structure. Usually, academic essays must have: an introduction, which is where the main claim and counterclaim lay, a body, where the paragraphs that will discuss the different points that support or counter the claim and counterclaim will be placed, and finally, the conclusion. There are many things that will make a conclusion great, and the importance of this portion of the essay is that with it, the writer is basically closing down and tying up all arguments for and against the claim and counterclaim to finalize with the result of the work.
