Please help! Today is my last day I can finish this before finals.

At what point do these graphs intersect?

y=x^2+3x-5
y=4x-1

I know that they intersect at (3,13) and (-2, -7), but what I need help with is how to solve it.

Respuesta :

Well the second is in slope form so that would be easy to graph, y=mx+b with m being slope and b being the y-intercept for that equation. The first is a trinomial, mostly being a parabolic equation. Transform it into vertex form (forgot how, sorry) and graph that and look where they intersect.
