Answer: Some Puritans were shipped to Africa.
The Restoration was a period in English history during the Stuart period. It began in 1660 when the English, Scottish and Irish monarchies were all restored. During this period, the Church of England was restored as the national Church in England. Many smaller denominations, such as the Presbyterians, the Independents and the Puritans were taunted, and their holy books were burned. The Restoration ended with the Glorious Revolution.
