3. The United States was also at war with German and Italy during this time. Why do you suppose German and Italians in the United States were not gathered up and taken to internment camps like the Japanese were?

I think it might have been because the Japanese made a direct attack on the U.S. since they attacked Pearl Harbor.  This caused many people to fear the Japanese.  Italy was attacking in other countries and not in the U.S. so I think the U.S. didn't see them as a threat or they weren't afraid of them like they were of the Japanese.
