The seventh Amendment is the part of US Bill of Rights. It includes the right to a jury trial in civil cases. It guarantees jury trial for the civil cases in federal courts. These type of cases are not heard in federal courts anymore. It was added in the Bill of Rights of US constitution on 5th September,1789.
In 17th century English judges never gave fair rulings as they were biased towards the king, even after getting their freedom form king in 1701 the judges were still biased. After the independence, the constitution framers knew the value of fair court system and hence they incorporated the right to have trial by jury as a fundamental law of country.
The seventh amendment is different as it is based on the distinction between common law and equity.
