Which of the following recyclable objects takes the least amount of time to decompose? plastic grocery bag plastic water bottle paper milk carton

Respuesta :

paper would be the best answer

Answer: paper, milk carton

A biodegradable waste is the waste, which is obtain from animals and plants matter, these wastes consists of organic matter which can be easily decomposed by the microorganisms present in the soil. A non- biodegradable waste is the waste, which is obtain from man-made and artificial sources such as plastic, metallic cans and chemicals. These wastes cannot be broken down into simpler substances by the microorganism present in the soil. They remain as pollutant in the environment. Recycling is a waste management process which ensures the conversion of biodegradable and non biodegradable waste either into another form or speed up their decomposition process.

Paper and milk carton (if made up of cardboard derivative of hard paper) are recyclable objects that will take the least amount of time to decompose because both of these objects are biodegradable wastes. These are obtained from plant source. Therefore, can be decomposed by microorganisms and will not become pollutants in future.
