Justinian I was Byzantine emperor who served from 527 till 565. his imperial government known for the codification of law, which is known as Code of Justinian. when he was young man, he went to Constantinople, where his uncle held high military command and there he received an excellent education. he was legally adopted by his uncle and held important office. he was also known to promote Christianity and wrote laws to protect the church and to suppress paganism. he was a great builder also and fortified many churches, dams, bridges throughout the empire.
