Nitrogen Bases number 2

Adenine with thymine and cytosine with guanine is known as the nitrogen bases in DNA.

• Four nitrogenous bases are found in DNA, that is, adenine, thymine, guanine, and cytosine.

Adenine is always found in combination with thymine, and cytosine in combination with guanine.

• As the mentioned bases always come in pairs, they will exhibit equal percentages of the composition of DNA.

• The percentage of adenine will be equivalent to the percentage of thymine, and the percentage of cytosine will be equivalent to the percentage of guanine.

Thus, adenine with thymine and cytosine with guanine is called the nitrogen bases in DNA.
