In chemistry, there are reactions between some compounds that exhibit dynamic equilibrium in other words they are reversible such that when the reactants from products the products then can also separate into the reactants so that the ratio between reactants and products remains the same in other words it is a steady state reaction.

In a dynamic equilibrium the rate of the forward reaction is equal to the rate of the backward reaction. A reaction is said to be reversible if there is inter convertibility between the reactant and the products. The reactants combine to form the products and the products combine to form the reactants. When a reversible reaction reaches equilibrium the concentration of the reactants and products do not change over time.
