Narrative poetry is a form of poetry that tells a story, often making the voices of a narrator and characters as well; the entire story is usually written in metered verse. One example from this unit is “A Devoted Son” by Anita Desai.

11.    What is setting?  How is it used to enhance a story/poem? (1 point)

Setting is where the story takes place. If they are trying to make you feel scared the setting will be a scary/creepy setting.

 12.    What is a reflective essay? Name one example of a reflective essay read in this course. (1 point)

A reflective essay is where you write an essay about some experience you had. “Shooting an Elephant.” By George Orwell
