They were led by the rich owners of the plantation in the South that always opposed to desegregation.

As we all know, the Democrats and Republicans do not like each other. The "Redeemers," or these Democrats began to have allies like the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). The main job of the KKK was to intimidate blacks and white Republicans to get out of politics.

It is not B, because as it was said before, the Democrats were allied with vigilante groups like the KKK and the White League. Some Democrats were responsible for this ongoing violence

It is not E, because it's just wrong. Bring back the explanation for B.

It is not A, because the KKK was formed in 1866, which was before the time of the 15th Amendment (1870), and before the 14th Amendment was ratified (1868).  

Lastly, it is not C, just simply because my notes say nothing about this on the Redeemers. Matter of facts, my notes only mention about the Redeemers what I have provided up top.
