a) The Magna Carta was written to help limit the power of English kings, and it was spurred by the foolish decisions that were often made by England's monarchs, many of which impeded certain rights of the people.

b) The Magna Carta had a few main points:
       1. No one is above the law, not even the king.
       2. Citizens have a right to a fair trial.
       3. People being taxed should have some sort of representation in the government.

c) Out of the original 63 clauses in the Magna Carta, only 3 of them still exist in British law today. However, it was the first document in Europe to limit a king's power, and it inspired countless other documents like the US Constitution.
