2x-6 = 2x -6

Combine like terms (x with x's and reg numbers with reg numbers)
   2x - 6 = 2x - 6
        +6         +6
---------------------------
2x = 2x 
-2x    -2x

x=x
which also means 
x=1

2(x-3)=1/2(4x-12)
2x-6=2x-6
2x-2x=6-6
      0
