DNA that is copied in semi-conservative replication would leave the two original template DNA strands together in a double helix which would now produce a copy of two new strands that contains all of the new DNA base pairs. Hope this helps :)
The original DNA molecule is the template for the new DNA molecules
by the definition of semi-conservative replication which is ( the original strand serves as a template for making an identical copy)
