Therefore, the great majority of them were reluctant to utilize any form of force in order to conduct their activities. The greatest example of this is Marthin Luther King's Gandhi-styled non-violent activism, which was supported by his Christian beliefs as he was a Baptist Pastor. He would eventually win the Nobel peace price in 1964 for combating racial inequality through non-violent protest.
