Before urine leaves our bodies, it has to go through the urinary tract. This pathway includes the kidneys which contain the nephrons that filter waste from your blood. Upon passing through the kidneys, it travels to the bladder where it can be stored for a short period of time and thorough detoxification occurs. The urine then passes to the ureters, or tubes within the urinary tract, and is passed out towards the vagina or the penis of the body.
Which sequence shows the correct path of urine through the excretory system? kidney, ureter, bladder, urethra
