The Anti-Apartheid Act helped totally end apartheid. The result led to their own elections and helped them start on their own through aids and trade relationships established by the American government. They finally had their freedom to decide for their race.
Following the end of the apartheid, Nelson Mandela became the President of South Africa. Penalties upon the nation were raised, and South Africa started the process of denuclearization. During this time, the African National Congress (ANC) became the predominant political party in the country, and South Africa held equal rights for all communities in its constitution.
