A large migration of the Jewish migration began n the middle east and it still continuous and largely due to the impact of the Yemen and Syria where approx 800,000 that used to live in the Arab world migrated.
About 90% of the Jewish population left and 260,000 Jewish migrated from there lands to Israel accounting for about 56% of the migration in the newly formed state. About 600,000 Jews reached Israel by 1972. These Jews were the descendants of the eastern and the Spanish Jews.
The reason was the political instability and poverty, conflict. And the pull factors were the new economic opportunity.
