So, many bacteria are asexual which is advantageous because they don't need a partner to have offspring like we do. They are able to reproduce whenever it is needed and however often it is needed.

It might be helpful to reproduce sexually because then a species can spread helpful traits faster? (ex: a species might need only a couple hundred years to say, be much faster, while it might take a species that breeds asexually more time, due to the fact that they have to genetically mutate on their own. It would be much faster if you could spread it out from parents to parents).
