what occurs when a part of your body is subjected to extreme or constant pressure, such as from a sharp or hard object

I'm no expert, However, I'd believe it to cause anything scaling from minor pains being the least devastating, all the way up to the loss of a wound or death being the worst  case scenario? Maybe I just don't fully understand the question.
