What is fossil fuel?

Fossil fuels are made of decomposing of the plants and animals in the millions of years. Coal, cured oil, natural gases are the example of the fossil fuels.

Fossil fuels are used as the energy source. This type of energy source are considered as non renewable energy sources.

Despite of fulfilling the large amount of fuel requirement the fossil fuel has some negative consequences of the global dependence on fossil fuels.

The negative consequences of the global dependence on fossil fuels are-

  • Global warming- Fossil fuels consist the carbon and hydrogen mainly. When the fossil fuels are burned they released large amount of the carbon dioxide and other green house gases. This will impact lead rise in temperature of earth and other negative consequences of global warming.
  • Limited stock- As the fossil fuels are the source of non renewable energy. Thus it can not reproduce in short period. Due to global dependency, the stock of fossil fuels is decreasing rapidly day by day.
  • Pollution- Fossil fuels do not burn properly and produces many harmful gases in the environment.

Hence the negative consequences of the global dependence on fossil fuels are pollution, global warming, non renewable source etc.
