Melting ice is raising the water level in the oceans. Where is the ice coming from? What else is causing the ocean levels to rise?
What does polar ice do to the sunlight that strikes it? How does this help reduce global warming? What is happened to the sunlight energy that strikes ocean water? How does this speed up the melting of ice?
What is the Gulf Stream? How does it help the climate in Europe? What has the warming oceans done to this ocean current?
How has global warming affected forest ecosystems?
How does global warming affect humans across the globe?
What can we do to reduce or reverse global warming?

Respuesta :

OK. So, first question first. The ice is a result of the water temperature dropping below 32 degrees Fahrenheit or 0 degrees Celsius. Question 2. There is a lot of things that could be happening to cause the ocean levels to rise. Such as Global Warming and the glaciers melting because of it. I know of some glaciers that melt at a rate of about 2 inches per year. Question 3. 80% of the light that hits polar ice is reflected back into space. Question 4. As far as I know, it doesn't do anything to reduce global warming. But then of course, I don't have as high of an education as some professional biologists. Question 5. Some energy is absorbed by the water. Some of it is reflected back into space. Again, I'm not quite sure, as I don't have as high of an education as some professional scientists. Question 6. It speeds up the melting of the ice because the sun is directly shining on it, therefore the ice is receiving quite a bit of heat. Question 7. The gulf stream is a powerful current in the Atlantic Ocean. Question 8. Not quite sure how it helps the climate in Europe. That might be a question to ask your science teacher. Question 9. Again, not quite sure. You should ask your science teacher. Question 10. It has made the temperature in them much warmer than before. Question 11. Well for starters, it has increased the rate of Forest Fires and House Fires therefore putting humans at a greater risk, as they could be inside their homes when they catch on fire, or they could be camping or something like that if a forest fire breaks out. That is pretty much all I know about how it affects humans. Question 12. I don't believe there is anything that we can do to reverse global warming, but we can reduce it by pumping less and less harmful toxins into the air, such as Carbon Monoxide. That is all I have for you today. Please let me know if this helped you out in any way!
