Shawn plans to join the landscape arboretum and attend its gardening classes. The cost of a membership is a fixed amount per year, plus a $10 feed for each gardening class she decides to attend.
Write a formula that describes how much it will cost Shawna to join the arboretum and attend classes.
Let's let
c = cost of the membership

n = number of classes she attends

t = total cost

Well there is a fee for joining c, and there is an additional cost of 10 per class.  So the total cost with respect to the number of classes taken is:

t=10n+c

Firstly : t is at the beginning and only the beginning

Secondly : your answer is expressed in terms of c and n.

So the total amount is

[tex]t = c + (10n)[/tex]

Hope this helps!
