whats an equation that the passes through (-6,4) and is parallel to y=1/2x+8
I have been trying to solve this for days now. Really need the help. Show work too.

Since its parallel the m is 1/2
The -6 is X1 and the 4 is y1
Okay now do formula

Y-4= 1/2(X--6)
Y-4= 1/2X+3
Add 4

Y= 1/2x +7
