The League of Nations is an international organization among governments in the world and was created after World War I. It had a mission to preserve peace. However, it made a different approach to end the war. The League's solution is to get involved and stop belligerent countries. So, it gave military support to member countries and failed.

During World War II the United Nations was created. It is also an international organization of governments that were united to promote peace among the nations. The countries had the vision to settle differences and problems of countries.  It also extended itself to help people who experienced disasters and promoted the welfare of people around the world regardless of race or diversity. The difference with the league is, the UN did not use arms as an answer to violence and focused on diplomatic interventions.
