Respiration is the process by in which there is an exchange of gases within the body. And in hat process, there are three types of exchanges taking place.
- On the other hand, internal respiration involves the exchange of gases between the tissue cells and the blood.
- This means that with the intake of oxygen into the body, the carbon dioxide moves away from the tissue cells and into the bloodstream to be expelled out of the body in the external respiration process.
Respiration is the main process that allows us to be alive. With the intake of fresh air and releasing of carbon dioxide from our body, there constitutes the continuous cycle of respiration. So, internal respiration 'throws' out the carbon dioxide harmful to the body through the bloodstream.
