In oceans, there exist very tiny animals called coral snimals. Coral means a hard, stony substance and reef means a ridge of jagged rock, these coral animals are often called coral polyps, the coral reefs are developed in the ocean at the depth of the sea. the stinging polyps of the fire coral which are at the top of the reefs will trap or capture the animals by injecting poison into them thereby they will bind them with their corals. The corals belong to the fragile ecosystem, they construct lime stone ridges these are nothing but called coral polyps.

Coral reefs need sunlight to live or they want to live in shallow water so that they can get the sunlight directly. If the sea level suddenly rose by 100m, the corals would face difficult conditions and harder to live because when the sea level suddenly raised by 100m, the corals couldn't get the sunlight to live.

Hundred meters means it is a large distance in the sea depth and more over the refractive index being more for the sea water because of with so many ingredients, so the refracted sunlight cannot travel up to the existing corals and the coral fall under danger and will ultimately die.
