5. Compose roughly 10 questions you can ask your interviewee about how he/she uses English, language, writing, and communication on the job. You want to make sure these questions are “open-ended” questions; this means you need to ask anything other than “yes/no” questions. If you must use a “yes/no” question, make sure to follow it up with a “why or why not?” (see the second question below). Most open-ended questions start with “how,” “what,” “when,” “where,” “who,” and “why.” Organize your questions in a logical manner.
