The area that was not covered by the civil rights act of 1964 is the Anti-Miscegenation law. The anti-miscegenation laws were made interracial marriage illegal. However, a 1967 Supreme Court ruling declared this laws unconstitutional. The civil rights act of 1964 helped stopped the discrimination towards african americans and other minorities.
