The atomic bomb dropped on Japan was justified under the circumstances because Japan would have never surrendered. I mean it took two bomb drops for them to even consider surrendering. The war would have been going on maybe months to a year longer. And the U.S. would have lost hundreds of civilians as well as military forces.
- The use of atomic weapons was not justified as the US Army was already gaining significant advantage over the Empire of Japan during the campaign of the Pacific. Many lives were lost during that bombing.
- The war would have lasted several more months as the invasion of the main island of Japan would have been represented a long series of battles in the major cities of the Country.
- The most important effect of all was the loss of more human lives. Secondly, was the loss of important economic resources that would have been destined to war efforts.
