-Please help me on this scale drawing problem-

On a scale drawing, a school gymnasium measures 6 inches by 10 inches. The scale used for the drawing is 1 inch equals 10 feet.

What are the actual dimensions of the gymnasium? Explain how this was determined.

Answer Choices

1) 72 ft by 120 ft; multiply by 12 since there are 12 inches in 1 foot.

2) 16 ft by 20 ft; add 10 to each dimension because the scale is 1 to 10.

3) 60 ft by 100 ft; multiply by a factor of 10 since 1 inch equals 10 feet.

4) 6 ft by 10 ft; change the dimensions to feet since the scale uses inches to represent feet.

The answer is C. you have to set up a proportion which would be: inches to feet which is 6 over x to 1 over ten. Then you multiply 6 by 10 which is 60 divided by 1 which is still 60.
