Are you referring to an adolescent's loss of innocence? If so I'll try but you should try to be a little more specific. A loss of innocence is when a child gets to a certain age and is put into a situation in which they become more accustomed to the world around them. Its a theme that resembles growing up and realizing what societies values are and that the world does not revolve around oneself.

A few examples of this common theme would be:
-Involvement in mature situations such as, witnessing parents divorcing/ choosing between them

-loosing something valuable to oneself

-experiencing trauma

-witnessing death

- getting lost

-any semi- to- severely negative situations

-from losing someone/valuables

To sum it up it would be just an older child experiencing a tough situation. It can be simple or complex. If this is an assignment say essay my advice to you is to read the prompt and try to answer accordingly. Try to come up with a personal experience you've gone through or maybe reference something from a book.

A good example of that would be Ralph from LOTF, watching 'civilization' turn into anarchy and barbaric rule.

Hope this helps!
